Hiking in Solden

Even though we are in the middle of the Alps, it can get really warm here.

This is the mountain summer in Sölden; majestic alpine peaks and a clear view for as far as you can see. From July onwards you can enjoy the open air concerts of the summer music festival. End of August sees Sölden hosting a massive cycling event. About 3,000 cyclists begin their marathon here.

If you are a passionate trekker Sölden will give you a brand new experience to remember. There are about 300 kilometres of well defined and marked ways and paths for the trekkers. The paths run between 1.377 meters up to about 3,744 meters above the sea level. On your way you will see some of the most beautiful spots on the earth, some lakes at these heights.

The cottages will take care of your physical needs of refreshments and local delicacies.

What else can you do here? Mountain climbing, rock climbing, Nordic walking, Mountain biking and rafting, canyoning are some choice for you. In summer you can still go skiing or snowboarding on the glaciers.

Probably the most impressive and breathtaking experience will be to take the cable car to carry you to 3,058 metres above the sea level to the heights of Gaislachkogel.
